We decided to post this due to it's age and the history. This is our second great-grandfather- Hans Peter Larson, who was born in Ossian, Iowa. He was requesting information about land near Henry Dakota Territory on March 21, 1883. It's signed O. Gesley from Merchants Bank in Watertown, Dakota. In the notes above, O. Gesley states he can read Norwegian, but cannot write it. O. Gesley was president of the bank and C. E. Boyden was cashier. Hans Peter Larson was 21 years old at the time.
